Card Box for Graduation, Birthdays, Weddings or other Receptions

Over the last few years, I've thrown 4 graduation parties and a 50th anniversary reception. There are all kinds of ideas for a greeting card boxes but this is what I came up with. I just close it up and use it in the house throughout the year as my home decor and pull it out when needed for these special occasions. I found this small trunk-like box at a local craft store (You could come up with one to fit the style you're looking for). I added small hooks on the the top inside of the lid and to the top of wooden letters (also from a craft store). I painted the letters a lighter color and used a paintbrush and a cloth to distress them. Finally, I just tied them on a string and hung them inside the box. It was a fun project and can be re-used at different occasions in the years to come.
