- 5 firm green tomatoes
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup oil
- salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Wash tomatoes and remove stems.
- Slice tomatoes approximately 1-inch thick.
- Heat oil in skillet.
- Mix flour, salt and pepper.
- Coat both sides of tomatoes in flour mixture and place in hot oil.
- Cook until browned and tender.
