The beginning of the fall season is such a fun time, especially for anyone that loves to decorate. It’s still a little early, but I’ve started pulling together decorations for our home.
In my dining room, these Autumn Bliss salad plates from Pier 1 were my inspiration. I paired them with the burlap ruffle placemat, the Silver Chania Charger, and the Martillo Mist Green Plates, also from Pier 1. Finally, I added a denim color napkin and the Gray & Ivory Gingham Check Table Runner from Pier 1.
My goal for much of my decor is to make a smooth transition to Christmas using some of the same elements but adding in the Christmas colors. Whenever I shop, I try to buy pieces that will be versatile throughout the year. That’s the case with my table runner, placemats, chargers and dinner plates.
The greenery and floral for my centerpiece came from Hobby Lobby. I started with a green laurel leaf garland and wired magnolia leaves and cream wildflower in as well. I wrapped the candles, also from Hobby Lobby, with berries. Finally, I found the pumpkins at HomeGoods. I love how the blues in the glass pumpkin compliment the plates and napkins.
It’s so much fun playing with all the textures, tones and colors to come up with the decor that fits my personality and making my house my home. The key for me in decorating is to find that inspiration piece that I can build upon. I hope you find what inspires you as you design your home!
