Messages to the Graduate

Years ago when coming up with ideas for my daughter's graduation party, I saw this idea on Pinterest. It was probably my favorite and one of the most meaningful parts of her party. Since then I have used it at each of my son's graduation parties as well. I just placed out pens, note cards, a container for the messages and instructions for guest. For my last son, I used a flower pot he painted when he was little to hold the pens. All of graduates family and friends write a special message for them to read the first night in their dorm. After the party, I took all the notes and compiled them into an album that I wrapped and give them on their first night away from home. They were so excited to read all the messages from the people that they love and it's a keepsake that they will have forever!
